My Pegasus
My pegasus flew to Australia.
She flew all the way across the seas.
There were unicorns and monkeys that could fly
As far as the eye could see.
She flew to the left,
She flew to the right,
Oh dear,
I hope she can stay in flight.
She won’t be gone
For very long.
She’ll be back soon,
Unless I’m wrong.
School Year
September has come
It’s time for school.
It’s time to see
Who’s really cool.
Pens and pencils
And notebooks galore.
Everyone back to your seats,
The teacher’s opening the door.
It’s lunchtime now.
I can’t believe what I just ate.
When is it time
To graduate?
I hope June comes soon.
I can’t take this anymore.
These people are crazy,
Show me to the door.
Sleeping
It’s ten o’ clock.
It’s not even late.
So why can’t my body
Stay awake?
I fall into a slumber,
A deep one at that.
I feel something
Tapping on my back.
It’s really nothing,
Just my imagination.
My mind is about to
Take a vacation.
Where am I?
It seems I have forgotten.
Hey, cotton candy shouldn’t
Taste like real cotton.
Red
Red are stop signs and the stripes on our flag.
Red is the American Red Cross.
Red is the liquid that flows through our bodies.
Red.
I Wish…
I wish…
For friendships that never end,
I wish…
For my eighth grade year to start over,
I wish.
Ocean: A Haiku
Sand everywhere
The blue ocean crashing down
Sun-bathing all day.
Dance: A Tanka
Music fills your ears,
Quickly moving across stage
Not stopping you now.
Keep with the flow with your grace.
Dancing is what I do best.
